Transformative Brain-Body Connection: Dr. Jungels’ Vision for Optimal Living

The clinic’s approach to healthcare is grounded on the premise of functional and integrative care from a neurological perspective. When this approach is coupled with specific therapies it produces optimal results shown to improve a patient’s quality of life long-term.

All the products offered at the NHCC are neurological derived in nature to help optimize brain dysfunction to improve symptomatology.

Dr. Jungels

Meet Dr. Jungels

Dr. Jungels began her chiropractic journey growing up in Carlton MN; where athletics guided her decision to find a career where she could help athletes. Her journey then led her to Saint Cloud State University, St. Cloud MN, where she completed her bachelors in sports medicine with a minor in psychology and soon after obtained her certification through the BOC and began a career as a licensed athletic trainer. After five years of practicing in the field of Athletic Training, she went on to attend Northwestern Health Sciences University, Bloomington MN, where she completed her doctorate in Chiropractic.

Even as a student she understood fundamentally, everything is influenced by neurology. Through her practice in the field of Athletic Training, she became increasingly concerned over the concussion epidemic that occupied the athletic world. Due to her experiences during the ongoing concussion epidemic, she foresaw the ability to heal people holistically with real science.

During the later years of chiropractic school, Dr. Jungels enrolled as a scholar and completed post-doctoral coursework in the clinical neuroscience program at the Carrick Institute, Orlando FL. Resulting internships allowed her to work along some of the finest practitioners in MN, where she assisted them in the treatment of some of the most complex neurological cases within a collaborative and integrative setting.

With her strong commitment to a lifetime of learning, Dr. Jungels maintains a strong passion for finding chiropractic and brain-based solutions in the treatment of her patients. This commitment to lifelong learning brings the latest treatments and technology to her practices, to ensure she is always able to provide her patients with the quality care they deserve.

Dr. Jungels believes chiropractic is an integral part of a multi-disciplinary approach when it comes to healthcare, and she is honored to serve her community through Neuro Health Chiropractic Center. Having a deep background beyond her area of specialization sets her up for any challenge, where she loves to treat many different types of conditions and patients of all ages.

Dr. Jungels sub-specializes in helping improve symptoms associated with Autism, ADHD, Sensory processing disorders, and behavioral/ emotional dysregulation that may be a result of chiropractic subluxation.  She is also a working on becoming a certified neurofeedback practitioner through the BCIA as well as a diplomate in chiropractic Neurology through the DACNB board.

Outside of the clinic Dr. Jungels resides in Sartell with her husband, son, and two dogs. She loves spending time with her family, reading, and dedicating her spare time working as an ATC in the NAHL within the surrounding area.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, in short, you may come to Neuro Health Chiropractic Center for all chiropractic needs. Dr. Jungels will do a full assessment with your initial examination and give you the best recommendations for the style of treatment you’d need. That treatment might just be a chiropractic adjustment, or it may include brain-based therapies. Either way, you are set. We can’t wait to have you here.

The treatment plans and brain-based therapies at Neuro Health typically are not covered by insurance outside of chiropractic manipulation. Dr. Jungels always wants what is best for her patients and has come to understand that many insurance companies don’t have that same philosophy. She accommodates many patients by taking payment methods such as credit, debit, cash, HSA/FSA, and Care Credit. Grant committees have teamed up with Neuro Health to help cover a variety of costs for children participating in her pediatric neuro-intensive program. She also wants to make sure that you are not financially burdened by our cash-based clinic and will give you the insurance codes that can be self-submitted to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Treatment frequency depends on your initial examination and what your individual needs are. Every patient is different and we want to make sure we are receiving quality care in order to feel and function your best.

At Neuro Health Chiropractic Center, we feel that children should be assessed in our office as early as possible. This includes the day after they’re born! The sooner your child can be assessed allows us to make sure they’re developing on track regarding their age-appropriate neurological standards. We want to set their neurological foundation so they can grow and function to be as healthy as they can be!

When we assess your children, we listen to your concerns as parents first. We want to make sure we are the right fit for you and your family when it comes to receiving treatment for your child. We do a full neurological examination after taking a parental history by evaluating your child’s age-related developmental anatomy (i.e. head sutures, shape, and size) milestones, primitive/postural reflexes, tone, cognitive and physical function. We are in depth because your child’s foundation matters.

After our initial examination, we may choose to “adjust” your child to help improve some of the concerns you may have with your child. In our office we use a variety of techniques to adjust children. Our first is a manual technique performed with the hands of the practitioner. This is a light gentle force technique to help improve areas of concern within your child’s spine based off their bedside examination. Our second technique is an instrument assisted technique that applies a controlled force through the spine in areas of concern instead of the practitioner’s hands. There is no audible sounds such as a” popping” sensation within the spine for either technique used. Before any adjustment is delivered, we make sure both you as the parents and child are comfortable receiving the adjustment as a part of the treatment plan.
